The government aims to establish medium-scale production facilities, develop urban agricultural models, and increase the production of traditional crops to ensure the nutritional safety of communities.

Utilize Comprehensive Agricultural Project Plans: Implement detailed project plans for agricultural initiatives to monitor and assess their impact on food production, sustainability, and economic viability, ensuring alignment with the Maldives’ food security and environmental sustainability goals.
Selectively Use Outsourcing for Agricultural Development Projects: Strategically outsource to experts in modern agricultural methods, crop science, and sustainable farming solutions to optimize resources, improve agricultural outcomes, and accelerate the sector’s advancement towards sustainability and self-sufficiency.
